Key Plastics have taken delivery of a Negri Bossi 850 Ton Injection Moulding machine to further bolster its large component moulding capability.

Lifting of the machine required the service of a high-capacity crane and the machine was dis-assembled due to its large weight, being over 40 tons in total.

Manufactured by Negri Bossi in Milan, Italy the Janus 850 machine allows the manufacture of large components up to 4kg in weight with the added advantage of being a hybrid type design combining the best of electric and hydraulic drive systems. This hybrid system allows for more economic energy consumption and smoother operation.

The new addition will be positioned beside their existing 830- and 680-Ton machines and will be supported by a full 5 axis Sepro robotic system.
