At Key Plastics, sustainability and energy efficiency are factors that are strongly considered in all of our manufacturing decision. As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we have taken a significant step forward by implementing state-of-the-art energy monitoring technology across our plant. This initiative strengthens our ability to track, analyse, and optimise energy consumption, ensuring a more sustainable future for our operations.
In 2024, Key Plastics partnered with Renteknik Group to install advanced monitoring devices on selected equipment within our injection moulding facility. These devices are integrated with a cloud-based dashboard, providing real-time data on power usage, overall energy consumption, and CO₂ emissions. By having instant visibility into our energy performance, we can make informed decisions to enhance efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint.
The ability to access live data marks a turning point in our energy management strategy. Not only will it allow us to measure the effectiveness of current and future energy-saving initiatives, but it will also support our long-term commitment to continual CO₂ reduction. With this technology in place, we can identify inefficiencies, optimise machine performance, and implement data-driven improvements that drive real change.
Our investment in energy monitoring is just one step in our broader sustainability program. At Key Plastics, we recognise that energy efficiency is not just about reducing costs—it’s about making responsible choices that benefit both our business and the environment. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to innovation and operational excellence, ensuring that sustainability remains at the heart of everything we do.
